With top entertainment that ranges from the internationally-acclaimed Mariachi Ciudad de Guadalajara, direct from the city of Guadalajara, to Oregon’s very own Ballet Folklórico México en La Piel. The festival grounds will be filled with lots of music, rides, and authentic flavors of Jalisco, Mexico and other regional specialties to enjoy throughout the weekend.
Over 20 vendors will be serving delicious food, snacks and desserts for everyone to indulge in. People go to the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta for all the attractions that we have to offer, but there is nothing quite like getting to smell and taste the authentic dishes of Mexican food that you can get from these vendors at the Fiesta.
Fill your eyes, nose and stomachs with the homemade tastes and traditional dishes of Mexico and Latin America that will be displayed in front of you. Latin America is a highly diverse area of land that holds various cuisines that vary from nation to nation. The Fiesta has invited local families and cooks, from the kitchens, restaurants and food carts of Portland, to join us and show off their prize dishes.
There will be Regional and traditional Mexican food dishes from all across Mexico and Latin America that include, Pupusas from El Salvador, and Empanadas and Arepas from Venezuela and Colombia just to name a few. Cups of fresh fruit with chili and lime, Elotes, chicharrones and fresh-made churros, Tacos de tinga, carne asada, al pastor, carnitas, lengua and more! It’s the perfect location to try all these flavorful dishes and get to enjoy it all in one place.
The food is not the only attraction that you will definitely enjoy. You will also get to enjoy refreshing drinks and ice-cold beer throughout the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta. The Fiesta wouldn’t be the same without our favorite beers: Modelo, Pacifico and Corona! This year Constellation Brands is the company that is behind the beer, wine,and spirits brand that everyone loves. Also, stop by and get The Jose Cuervo Tequila Experience which is a bilingual, educational tour of the places, people and process of making tequila. For adults 21 and over, this free attraction ends at our tequila bar where you can learn and taste premium tequilas, from different tequila distilleries in Jalisco. You can also enjoy special Fiesta Cuervo Cocktails. This is a first for Portland’s Cinco de Mayo Fiesta, be sure not to miss out!
Our local vendors will also be serving up horchatas, tejuínos and aguas frescas. Enjoy drinks strolling past the Fiesta attractions and artisans. Come celebrate and dance with everyone at our Main Stage and have a good time at the Fiesta. The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta welcomes all adults to drink responsibly and in moderation, and will help everyone have a safe ride home when they leave.
